Sports injury clinic

The Sports Injury Clinic is available to all members of the sport and exercising community.

• The Clinic operates on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5.40pm to 8.30pm and Saturday mornings 10.00am to 12.00noon by appointment only
• Appointments can be made between 9.00am and 9.45pm over seven days.
• The Clinic is staffed by chartered physiotherapists who have specialised in sports medicine.
• Patients may be seen by either their own GP or the Clinic doctor first to ensure an accurate diagnosis and follow up treatment.
• The initial appointment for each injury is £30 and follow up appointments £15.
• This charge will also be made if appointments are not cancelled by 3.00pm on the day of the appointment or 3.00pm on Friday for Saturday appointments.
• Other specialists available by appointment include acupuncture, exercise physiologist and fitness specialists.
• The Clinic is not registered with any individual private healthcare company but patients with health insurance can request that treatment is undertaken with us.

Massage

Largs Magic Hand can deliver sports massage or remedial massage therapy. appointments can be made through the centre reception.

Sports massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body and can be beneficial at various stages of participation.

• During hard training.
• Pre and post competition.
• Injury prevention and injury rehabilitation.

These clinics are suitable for anyone with a chronic injury, tired aching muscles from training or competition.

Regardless of whether you exercise or play sport to keep fit or compete at club or international level - sports massage may be the missing link in your performance.
